Details: Marty son's Norm Klapper came to me with a collection of family photos on a thumb drive and a lengthy unedited word doc with short stories written by Marty. I did additional copy work of the family photos that were not digitized and then I went about creating a design that matched the historical subject matter and humble charming tone of the stories. I left the eclectic style of Marty's voice in my design - so I didn't try and orgainze the stories into chapters. Together with the Norm's help we worked on creating captions for the images. Additional images were selected from public domain sources and from the Library of Congress. The family did the final copyediting. The book is print on demand.
